The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation has had a field office in Jerusalem since 2001. We cooperate with Palestinian and Israeli women’s organisations. On the Israeli side, Kvinna till Kvinna supports organisations that inform about the consequences of the conflict and the blockade and work to increase women’s political participation and for increased security for women.

Our partner organisations also work with women’s leadership and increased participation of women from different ethnic backgrounds – including Russian-speaking, Palestinian, Bedouin, Ethiopian and Mizrahi Jewish (Jews originating from the Middle East and Northern Africa) women – in public life and in politics. Through activities such as feminist study groups, our partner organisations empower Palestinian women living in Israel to work for a changed society, in which their competencies are valued.

Due to increased threats against women’s rights defenders and activists in Israel, and the anxiety this creates, Kvinna till Kvinna works to integrate strategies for internal security and wellbeing in our partner’s organisation’s structures. This aims to make their members feel more secure and to help them find the strength to continue with their work. Kvinna till Kvinna supports the organisations advocacy of international actors and organises workshops for women on how to get their (political) voices heard.
