Palestine

The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation opened a field office in Jerusalem in 2001. We cooperate with both Palestinian and Israeli women’s rights organisations.

In Palestine, we support organisations that work to empower women by offering them education, psychosocial support  to alleviate the negative effects of violence against women including occupation violence such as house demolitions, income generation opportunities and access to legal aid and representation in matters pertaining to personal status issues (family law). Our efforts are also focused on supporting the women’s movement, women’s political organisation, and mobilisation around women’s rights advocacy and awareness raising.

To promote the sustainability of the women’s rights movement in Palestine, we work with the security and wellbeing of women’s human rights defenders. We also facilitate networking between young activists and established women’s organisations, to prepare for generational change and ensure the continuity of the women’s movement.
